Security Council (SC)

##Objective

The Security Council is one of the six main organs of the UN. Its primary responsibility is to maintain international peace and security.

Targets:

SC.1 Determine the existence of a threat to peace or act of aggression and recommend strategies for its resolution.

SC.2 Establish peacekeeping operations and international sanctions to restore international peace and security.

UN.3 Foster global development and cooperation to ensure sustainable living standards for all through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other developmental agendas.
